      JUNIOR COMPETITION SQUADS

      For swimmers aged 10 and over who have progressed beyond two 60-minute sessions each week, and are aiming to compete. Our squads are based around competitive swimming. However, we have a dual pathway for teenagers with the establishment of a training group for 9 years and up to maintain fitness. Swimmers will enjoy the environment of squad trainings with the benefit of professional coaches/ Olympic sized pool.​

      JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT SQUADS​

      Here, 7-12 year olds can build on their Learn to Swim skills to really refine their technique in all four competitive strokes. They learn valuable racing and competition skills under the careful tutelage of experienced coaches in an Olympic size swimming pool.​

      JUNIOR LEARN TO SWIM

      For 5-10 years old who have learned the fundamentals of swimming, this program improves frontcrawl, backstroke, efficiency, breathing, streamlining and timing within the strokes of front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. This helps children swim for longer with less effort, and forms the foundation of their future in swimming.

      JUNIOR BABIES AND TODDLERS ​

      Designed for 1-6 year-olds, this program is designed to build confidence and basic swimming movements. Through fun and engaging activities, kids become familiar with this new environment, grow comfortable with their head completely submerged, practice floating and use fundamental concepts to travel on their front and back.

      Meet Heather, a seasoned professional with a passion for health and wellness. With 7 years’ experience in the industry, she blends her over 500-hour certification as a yoga instructor with her knowledge of the Five Elements to create a unique and comprehensive program for her members.

      Heather’s dedication to the positive impact of yoga on mental health and physical well-being drives her to make the ancient teachings of the Yoga system relevant to modern life. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, it includes controlled movements, breathing, and mental concentration. Most Pilates workouts are done on a mat or using specialized equipment like the reformer, which provides resistance to challenge muscles further.
      Pilates and Reformer Pilates are fitness exercise methods focusing on strength and flexibility of the body. Pilates exercises can be performed on a mat positioned on the ground, including props like balls and bands. In contrast, Reformer Pilates uses a specialized machine with springs or bands for resistance, offering a wider range of exercises and increased muscle challenge. Both methods can enhance the overall physical condition, strength and flexibility using different workouts.
      Pilates strengthens the body and improves flexibility and posture position. The results are seen in toned muscles, and a better physique, while reducing the risk of injury. Pilates is recommended for people with back pain and beyond the physical perks, it’s a mental boost too. It helps relax the mind and sharpen the focus.
      Same like Yoga, Pilates required comfortable but fitted clothes to avoid distractions while doing the workout. Breathable, stretchy fabrics like cotton or dri-fit materials are the way to go. Our members usually wear shorts or leggings and fitted tops. In the end it all depends on the individual and how comfortable they are to maximize their workout with the pieces they are wearing.
      The number of calories burned during Pilates can vary depending on factors like workout intensity, duration, fitness levels and the sole Pilates exercise. On average, a beginner-level Pilates session may burn around 150-250 calories per hour, while a more intense or advanced session could burn up to 400 calories per hour. If the goal is weight-loss, incorporating Pilates workouts with cardio and a healthy diet can be effective.
